| Sarah co-founded the multidisciplinary creative studio Friend of a Friend. Her animated short, "The Four Seasons", was a finalist in Getty Image’s “The Next Big Idea” contest and in the Moving Pictures Magazine’s Sundance Film Festival Short Film Contest. In 2008, she directed "One Cup of Coffee", a documentary film on sustainable coffee farming starring Rohan Marley, narrated by Cedella Marley and featuring the music of their father. In 2009, she wrote and directed the award-winning short film "The Sirens", starring The Chapin Sisters, which has screened all over the world, and in numerous festivals. She recently recieved the special jury prize for best screenwriting from the DreamAgo foundation. Her feature script "Good People" was in the top 3 for the Nantucket Film Festival's Showtime Screenwriting Award and was a finalist for Tribeca All Access. | It was an official selection of both the Beverly Hills Film Festival and Las Vegas Film Festival screenwriting competitions. Among the scripts she's currently working on is an adaptation of Paul Theroux's chilling short story, Monkey Hill.. Sarah was born in Fort Collins, Colorado and studied philosophy at Columbia University where she graduated with honors. Her path to film began as a painter, actress, and video artist. Her work has shown at: The Tank gallery in Manhattan, the Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn, the Great Wall of Oakland, and Victory Plaza in Dallas. |
